The main purpose of the Girls Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) is Talent ID: To identify and develop future potential players by providing local, accessible high-quality training environments.

The ETC offers increased playing time, varied football formats and allows players to play for both an Emerging Talent Centre and a grassroots club or school, which we hope will enhance the variety of playing experiences.

Players attending an ETC have the same opportunities to progress in the Women’s England Talent Pathway as those players who are not attending an ETC. Players at Northampton Town's ETC train once a week at the Waterside Campus at the University of Northampton and continue to play for their grassroots team alongside the ETC. We operate the following age groups – U11s, U13s, U15s and there are seldom fixtures arranged throughout the season.

In partnership with the University of Northampton, the ETC offers players weekly strength and conditioning sessions, performance testing, injury support and rehab, as well as access to expert-led psychology and nutrition sessions. Training is delivered through a comprehensive football syllabus by UEFA B and C licensed coaches.
