Role Overview
As Women’s Kit Assistant, you will play a vital behind-the-scenes role in supporting the success of the team on and off the pitch. You will be responsible for ensuring all elements of the players’ kit across training, travel, and matchday are expertly managed, from ordering and preparation to printing, distribution, and laundry. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will directly contribute to a professional, high-performance environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, packing, and distributing kit for Women’s First Team training sessions, matchdays (home and away), and Club events, including supporting dressing room setup with correct shirt numbering and layout.
- Ensure all kit, boots, and equipment are clean, well‑maintained, and ready for use;
organise laundry and coordinate with the laundry team to stay updated on schedules and changes. - Manage stock levels, order, label, print, and organise kit and equipment in liaison with the Operations Manager, reporting any damage or losses.
- Support logistics and transportation of kit for training and away fixtures, driving the Club vehicle when required (full UK driving licence essential).
- Support kit requirements for the Girls’ Academy as needed, demonstrating flexibility across departments.
- Assist with seasonal planning and busy periods such as pre‑season, ensuring timely availability of kit and equipment for coaches and players.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while building positive relationships with players, staff, and external partners, upholding the Club’s values, safeguarding, and health and safety standards.
- Undertake additional duties as required, with appropriate training and support from the Club.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- FA Safeguarding qualification (or willing to obtain).
- Highly organised, punctual, and able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Calm and efficient under pressure; adaptable to urgent changes.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information.
- Physically able to lift and transport kit daily.
- Full, clean driving licence with experience driving transit‑sized vehicles.
- Willingness to work unsocial hours and weekends.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Committed to upholding the Club’s values and standards.
Desirable
- Good communication skills with tact and confidentiality.
- Proficient in MS Office and IT systems.
