Qualifications

  • Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland).
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
  • Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations.

At Aspire, we believe people with a learning disability should be leaders in society. We are looking for a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams, to deliver person‑centered support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • As a Deputy Support Manager you will mentor teams, coach support staff and drive continuous improvement.
  • You will ensure that practice leadership is developed, recognised and reflected in all we do as you work on shift as part of the working rota enabling you to act as a role model of best practice.
  • You will support people to design their support plans, assist with rota management, help maintain records, address concerns, conduct audits, and deputise for the Support Manager when needed.
  • At all times aim to empower individuals, promote inclusion, rights & independence, whilst adhering to policies and acting as an ambassador for the company.
