Thérapie Clinic is the fastest growing aesthetic medical clinic in Europe, with over 80 clinics across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Great Britain and New York City, and more than 200 doctors. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain digital tools and platforms that support our clients, teams, and clinics worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable software solutions across web and internal platforms.
- Write clean, efficient, well‑documented code following industry best practices.
- Support integration with third‑party systems such as CRM platforms, booking tools, and analytics services.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Product, UX, Data and IT to deliver high‑quality features.
- Participate in planning, code reviews, testing and deployment processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows and tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues and system errors.
- Monitor application performance and implement enhancements to improve reliability.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable and maintainable.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to architecture and practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3‑5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Strong business acumen and a focus on driving real‑world business outcomes.
- Proven expertise in Node.js and Next.js.
- Solid understanding of data pipelines.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs with a focus on security, versioning and performance.
- Working knowledge of Java or comfort engaging with Java‑based components.
- Familiarity with AI‑enabled development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
- Strong communication skills and experience working in agile, cross‑functional product teams.
- Eligible to work in Ireland without visa sponsorship.
