As an Associate Director / Director, Global Medical Affairs at Theramex, you will be a critical member of the Global Medical Affairs team, setting strategic direction and leading the development and implementation of best-in-class Medical Affairs plans across our Women’s Health – Osteoporosis portfolio. You will shape the evidence generation strategy, steward product launches and lifecycle excellence, and elevate Theramex’s scientific leadership through evidence-based engagement with medical experts and medical education. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Information, Pharmacovigilance, Marketing, Value & Access, Business Development, and other key functions to ensure all medical-scientific activities are credible, compliant, and impactful—advancing our mission to improve the lives of women globally.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop the global medical strategy for a portfolio of pharmaceutical products within the therapeutic area.
- Design and implement Medical Operating Plans in close collaboration with brand/product directors and other cross-functional teams.
- Evidence Generation Strategy and Oversight: Plan and supervise evidence generation projects (e.g., real-world evidence).
- Review and approve investigator-initiated studies.
- Evidence Dissemination Strategy and Oversight: Lead scientific publications, presentations, and dissemination of medical-scientific data both internally and externally.
- External Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with global key medical experts, academic institutions, government agencies, advocacy groups.
- Create and implement engagement plans for medical-scientific experts and patient advocacy groups.
- Lead advisory boards and other strategic scientific forums.
- Act as a senior medical-scientific consultant to internal stakeholders, including: Commercial teams, Regulatory, Access, Business Development, and other internal partners.
- Facilitate alignment across functions to ensure medical-scientific integrity.
- Work with the Marketing Team to organise medical-scientific meetings such as symposia and other educational programmes.
- Support the wider Medical Affairs team, including Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance.
- Develop medical-scientific materials related to Theramex products and deliver training to sales teams and relevant staff.
- Respond to individual queries from HCPs and the KAM.
- Medical Governance and Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with ABPI, EFPIA and other applicable codes and regulatory guidelines; provide compliant medical approval for promotional and non-promotional materials.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the therapeutic area of osteoporosis.
- Attend scientific meetings (conferences, symposia, etc.).
- Ensure vendors are qualified throughout their involvement in Theramex activities.
Qualifications
- Qualified medical professional (Degree in Human Medicine) with proven Medical Affairs knowledge and expertise (ideally in women’s health or related), plus leadership experience—preferably at international scale.
- Solid experience in healthcare professional engagement, with outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Highest ethical standards with strong command of compliance and international health authority requirements.
- Final ABPI signatory status.
- Strategic, pragmatic, and agile—thriving in fast-paced, complex environments while delivering measurable outcomes.
- Passionate about women’s health and motivated to create tangible impact through science and education.
