Who we are: Therakind is a private pharmaceutical company based in London. We are a small team with a mission to identify unmet needs for off-patent products for specific populations such as children and the elderly. We develop new formulations or routes of delivery of existing medicines to create novel products, collaborating in partner or co-development projects with other biotech and pharma companies. We believe in finding the right therapeutic solution for patients, that’s why our products are designed specifically to take into account patients’ needs.
We're hiring two Graduate Scientists with two distinct profiles:
- degree in mechanical engineering
- degree in life sciences/pharmacy
What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for? Therakind is seeking two ambitious, enthusiastic and hands-on Graduate Scientists to support the team to progress, manage and deliver on a number of key projects. Candidates must be comfortable working across multiple projects/activities with the ability to adapt quickly and find alternative routes to success.
What you’ll do:
- Researching and conducting analysis for new projects including gathering insight data, reviewing publications to draft reports used to help drive decision making
- Work closely with the team on delivery and expansion of existing products within the portfolio
- Support day-to-day logistical activities for development products, including managing the supply chain from manufacturers
- Assist in identifying suitable partners needed to bring new products to market
- Assist regulatory affairs and compliance team on relevant projects
- Support Project Managers with project-related tasks for medical device development
What you need:
- This post would ideally suit someone who is interested in a career in device development or pharmaceutical development
- BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng or PhD in chemistry or pharmaceutical related subject or mechanical engineering at 2:1 level or above (or equivalent)
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Highly motivated and driven by success
- Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Some travel is required
