Role description:
Maybe you have worked in Social Care before and are looking for a new challenge or perhaps you have always wanted to make a positive difference in people's lives? We are extremely proud of the work we do, the people that work with us and the training we offer. As a valued Support Worker with Thera Southwest, you will be part of an inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will be working in Melksham in a shared supported living setting. You will be working with 3 ladies who like music, going out in the community, attending local clubs, and discos. Experience with behaviours that challenge and following a behaviour support plan is required. Having a good sense of humour is essential. The ability to adapt quickly to meet the needs of each individual person supported is important. This role offers a varied working week and opportunities to use a variety of skills you already have or would like to develop for career progression.
You will be working alongside other staff where there is a real sense of teamwork, supporting people in their daily lives at home or getting out in the community. This can be a fun and rewarding but also at times challenging and demanding role. Thera South West is unique; we are led by people with a learning disability. Using a person-centred approach, you will empower people with a learning disability to live the lives they choose.
