Overview
Provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, working in their homes or within the community to help them achieve personal goals and gain new skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personal and emotional support to clients in line with individual care plans.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
- Support clients in developing new skills and planning leisure activities.
- Help clients manage finances, plan journeys and travel safely within the community.
- Document care activities and progress and communicate updates to the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in social care or a related field is desirable.
- Compassionate, caring, confident, and self‑motivated.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
- High level of motivation and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to creatively solve problems and embrace the organisation’s values.
