We are looking for a Fine Art Framer to join our Shoreditch studio who understands that precision, consistency, and speed are not mutually exclusive.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in creating a flawless, professional product every single time. You’ll be handling high-volume projects, specializing in dry mounting and standardized frame models, ensuring that our gallery-quality output is maintained even during our busiest production cycles.
What you\’ll be doing
- High-Volume Production: Producing and assembling standardized, high-end frames to exact specifications.
- Dry Mounting: Executing consistent, high-quality dry mounting as a core part of our workflow (Training provided).
- Workflow Precision: Cutting and preparing mouldings, mountboards, glass, and backing materials with a focus on minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
- Tech-Driven Craft: Utilizing CNC cutting tools and production software to manage jobs, track SLAs, and ensure every piece meets our rigid quality controls (Training provided).
- Quality Assurance: Maintaining a meticulous eye for cleanliness, alignment, and finish before final sign-off.
- Collaboration: Working in sync with our mounting, printing, and dispatch teams to maintain steady production output.
What we\’re looking for
- Production Experience: Proven experience in high-output framing environments.
- Efficiency: You understand the rhythm of a workshop and know how to maintain consistent, top-tier results under pressure.
- Technical Aptitude: Confident and safe using underpinners, saws, and Valiani automated mount cutters. Experience with CNC machinery is a significant plus.
- Process-Oriented: You aren\’t just \\\”crafting\\\”; you are following established, optimized workflows to ensure every frame is identical to the last.
- Digital Fluency: Comfortable using production software to log work and manage high-volume throughput.
- Ownership: You take total responsibility for your station and the quality of the output, ensuring no frame leaves the studio without meeting our standards.
