We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to be the face of our practice, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our clients and visitors.
WB Pennine Law forms part of the PM Law Group and is a specialist and dedicated business offering Conveyancing, Commercial property, Dispute resolution, Family & Divorce, Personal Injury, Wills, Trusts & Probate services.

As our newly appointed Receptionist, based in our Hoyland office, you will provide administrative support to the team, dealing with face-to-face clients that call into the office, answering busy telephones and provide administrative support for our fee earners.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide general administration assistance delivering the highest level of customer service to clients at all times.
- Communicate with clients over the telephone, by email and in face-to-face meetings and with other solicitors and professional organisations.
- Produce initial client documentation, i.e. Authority to Act, Questionnaires, Protocol Documentation etc and checking such documents upon their return and requesting further documentation referred to in the same.
- Carry out Solicitor and Client Due diligence.
- Request Documentation fundamental to transactions.
- Ensure documents are returned by client’s and work providers, chasing them if required and progressing Transactions.
- Log correspondence to the correct files / matters.
- Enter data into the correct fields in the case management system from correspondence received.
- Log and complete tasks on the case management system.
- Perform general administration tasks, including answering telephones.
- To update all panel members / stakeholders within the business and within the referral businesses with whom we deal.
- To be a role model for those around you in both file management, actions and behaviour.
- To ensure individual compliance with all policies and procedures at all times.
- To attend and contribute in team meetings.
- The role will be based in the Conveyancing Department, however, there may be a requirement to work in other areas of the business as the need arises. This role will be based in Barnsley reporting to the Senior Manager.
- You may be required to perform any other duties and to work in any other areas as requested by the Company, if necessary, which may include other offices and those of clients.

- Recent and relevant experience of working in a busy receptionist role providing administration support.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Can pay real attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workloads.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent telephone manner, Client care and enthusiasm.
- Must be able to communicate well both orally and in writing.
- Understanding of e-mail systems, portals and other IT as appropriate.
- Good standard of spoken and written English required.
- Competent use of MS Office required.

Leaving 24 days holiday entitlement for the rest of the year, our holidays run from Jan to Dec. The 24th of December is given as an extra holiday by the firm each year.
