The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit Cover Supervisors to support the progress of our pupils here at The King Alfred School - An Academy in Highbridge. This role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to gain further experience in a school environment as part of their career development. This role would be ideal for an organised, flexible and resilient person who can adapt quickly, challenge and support learners of all ages in a range of skills and be able to adapt to and deliver the plans from a wide range of teachers.
The successful candidate will do their all to ensure learners of all abilities make progress in all lessons, enjoy their learning and feel happy and safe. They will encourage all pupils to reach the high expectations of our academy.
As part of this role, you will:
- Supervise the work of whole classes set by their class/subject teacher in accordance with school policy.
- Answer pupil queries about process and procedures relating to the lesson and the work set.
- Manage the behaviour of pupils to ensure a constructive learning environment.
- Assist with the support and delivery of learning in ‘Return to Learn’ e.g. personal assistance to Teachers, supporting Teachers in the classroom and behaviour intervention work where needed.
The successful candidate will have:
- Maths and English GCSE grade A* - C or Numeracy and Literacy.
- Level 2 on the NQF or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexibly within a team and motivate students.
- Excellent and effective communication skills.
