Leeds – Hybrid

I am delighted to be working with a leading Cyber security business, based in the heart of Leeds. We are actively looking to appoint somebody to the team with a background in Social and Content / generalist Marketing. This is a fast paced business, full of passionate individuals, we are looking for somebody who is passionate about what they do and can take responsibility and direction of the tone of voice of the Brand.
About the Company:
Leading from the front, at Director level – this business was set up following successful careers in the cyber security space. The business leaders knew they had a wealth of experience in the field to provide a watertight service to an impressive roster of clients, all while making it less daunting and dull. Data protection and cyber security in today\’s world is hugely important and can often be quite a scary concept to businesses but with a combined tenure over over 30 years, my clients not only know they can provide the best service but want to start educating businesses on the importance of their industry – without boring people!
They have successfully built a business equipped with Business Developers, Pen Testers and Web Developers and have always used an external agency to help with their marketing. Given the rapidness of their growth, they are now aware they have the pace and autonomy to appoint somebody internally to help with their Brand positioning / tone of voice.
About You:
You will have been in the industry anywhere between 1 – 4 years. We are very much looking for people who can showcase that they are passionate about the power of Marketing & Content. As such, we don\’t mind what type of background you are from – whether that be agency or brand side.
You may be in a role or a company where you work as part of a team and don\’t often get to be involved with all of the brainstorming and ideation and overseeing projects through until completion. This frustration has led you to look for a role where you will be given the responsibility of what the business puts out onto their channels.
You will love keeping on top of industry trends and news within the space you are in. You will have a personality that shines through in your work with quirkiness and humour but always relevant to the message. The ideal candidate will love working proactively and reactively and get creative at any opportunity.
Responsibilities:
This role allows the right person to have the autonomy to decide what they need to be doing. The aim is to consistently deliver the Brands TOV across all platforms as well as creating cutting edge content that will help generate exposure / new business.
As such, you can expect to be involved in things such as:
- Shooting content – think industry interviews, informational videos, short form videos
- Creating a content diary to align with the existing marketing and brand strategy
- Take control and manage all channels on behalf of the company and ensure that the content is relevant to the target market on each platform
- Be reactive and ahead of the curve when it comes to industry news
- Be bold!!!! We want somebody to push the boundaries and really be creative in an industry that doesn\’t always allow for creativity
