ThePlaceToBe are excited to be working exclusively with a digital agency to appoint a Business Development Specialist into their team. 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for the agency with existing clients, but they are not taking their foot off the gas with new business and as such, are looking for somebody well-versed in the agency world to help drive the business forward.

About the role

You will be working in a small but mighty team of BD experts. Each person will be responsible for different service offerings from the business.

What you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Managing your own pipeline alongside the work that the lead generation team does.
  • Be in full control of the sales funnel from initial touchpoint to signing.
  • Selling the service offering of the agency but also the client success team they will get as part of the offering.
  • Leading on pitches / pulling pitch decks together.
  • Working with Heads of to constantly ensure you are pitching correctly and demonstrating the agency to the highest standard.

About you

To be considered for this Business Development role, you'll have a firm and deep understanding of the marketing agency world. You may have even started in your marketing career in an agency yourself. In the past 3+ years, you have worked in a Business Development / Growth team and played a pivotal role in securing the agency new business - managing your own pipeline and working towards your own target. You will get a buzz from winning new business, work well in a team setting and learn and adapt quickly.

What we’re looking for:

  • Between 3-5 years solid BD / growth experience.
  • Marketing agency experience.
  • Somebody who has managed their own pipeline and can book in their own pitches alongside a lead generation team.
  • Somebody who enjoys pitching and presenting in person and virtually. Always happy to get on the road and meet clients where needed.
