About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Content Creator to join our team. If you live and breathe the outdoors, have a knack for storytelling, and are passionate about creating engaging content, this is the perfect opportunity for you! As our Content Creator, you will be responsible for developing and producing compelling content that showcases our brand, products, and the outdoor lifestyle. You will play a key role in inspiring and connecting with our audience through various digital platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Content Creation: Develop high-quality and engaging content across various formats, including:
- Photography: Capture stunning visuals of our products in lifestyle photoshoots in the outdoors and detailed product studio photographs of our products.
- Videography: Capture stunning visuals of our products in action both in the outdoors and in studio.
- Social Media Management: Create and schedule content for our social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok), fostering community engagement and growth.
- Storytelling: Develop compelling narratives that highlight the benefits of our products and the joy of outdoor adventures.
- Photoshoots: Lead photoshoots from inception to execution, including conceptualisation, planning, location scouting, model/talent coordination (if needed), on-site direction, and ensuring shoots align with brand guidelines and content objectives.
- Outdoor Immersion: Actively participate in outdoor activities relevant to our brand (e.g., hiking, camping, etc) to capture authentic content and stay connected to the outdoor community.
- Content Planning & Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content calendars and strategies that align with marketing goals and product launches.
- Content Performance Analysis: Track and analyse content performance metrics to optimise strategies and improve engagement.
- Brand Representation: Embody our brand values and represent Highlander Group positively in all content and interactions.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest content trends, social media best practices, and outdoor industry developments.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven Passion for the Outdoors: You are an outdoor enthusiast with genuine experience and knowledge in outdoor activities. You understand the needs and desires of our target audience because you are part of it!
- Content Creation Expertise: Demonstrable experience in creating high-quality content (photography, videography) for digital platforms. Please provide a portfolio showcasing your work.
- Photoshoot Management Experience: Experience in planning and leading photoshoots, demonstrating organisational and creative direction skills.
- Visual Storytelling Skills: Strong ability to capture visually appealing photos and videos that tell a story and evoke emotion.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using professional equipment and Adobe suite (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc).
- Excellent Writing & Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms and audiences.
- Social Media Savvy: Good understanding of social media platforms and best practices for content creation and engagement.
- Self-Motivation & Organisation: Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and willingness to work with marketing and other teams. Comfortable and approachable to models and other collaborators.
