About Theodo
Theodo is an engineering & design consultancy with offices in Paris, London, New York, Casablanca and Cape Town. We build high-quality digital products for clients across industries, and we are increasingly working with enterprise organisations on complex, high-impact tech modernisation programmes - including AI-powered code modernisation. We run lean internally: we care about process, continuous improvement, and doing things properly. Our founders have written books on the best practice for using lean to scale agile in large organisations. We are scaling fast, and we need our hiring to scale with us.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in executing the company’s talent strategy across the UK and South Africa. You will ensure a strong pipeline of talent and drive exceptional candidate and employee experiences - from first contact to onboarding. You will build and run the hiring engine for Theodo UK: designing the process, sourcing candidates directly, managing stakeholders, and filling roles across tech, sales, and delivery. We have exciting growth plans over the coming years, and there is real potential for this role to develop over the next year as the internal growth team scales and our business needs evolve.

- Define and implement a consistent, data-driven recruitment process across markets.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all talent decisions.
Onboarding & Retention
- Design and implement scalable onboarding plans for new joiners to ensure rapid integration and productivity.
- Partner with People Operations to track new hire success and engagement.
Employer Brand & Candidate Experience
- Strengthen the company’s employer value proposition across all regions.
- Ensure a best-in-class candidate experience reflective of the company’s culture and values.
What We’re Looking For

- Stakeholder management - you are comfortable managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
- Data‑driven - you track the right metrics and use them to make decisions.
- Hiring across markets - you are familiar with multi‑market hiring, or have a willingness to get up to speed on both the London and Cape Town talent markets.
- AI tooling - you are curious about AI tools and how they can improve recruiting efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition with a proven track record of delivering results in technical hiring.
- Deep experience in end‑to‑end hiring, including technical & non‑technical recruitment, assessment methodologies, and stakeholder engagement.

- Experience directly sourcing candidates across technical and non‑technical roles.
- Analytical mindset with a proven history of consistent drive to seek improvements in the systems you work with and ways of working.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- A proven track record of hiring A‑Players, with a method and theories on how to do it.
- An ability to sell Theodo as the best destination for A‑Player candidates, going above and beyond to build a strong relationship with candidates during the process.
- Experience across the UK and South Africa.
- Background in both in‑house and agency/executive search environments, bringing commercial and operational perspectives.
- Hands‑on experience with HR systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, SmartRecruiters, or similar) and comfort with HR analytics dashboards.

- Previous experience in fast‑scaling or transforming environments, where structure, culture, and talent strategy evolve rapidly.
