About Theodo

Theodo is an engineering & design consultancy with offices in Paris, London, New York, Casablanca and Cape Town. We build high-quality digital products for clients across industries, and we are increasingly working with enterprise organisations on complex, high-impact tech modernisation programmes - including AI-powered code modernisation. We run lean internally: we care about process, continuous improvement, and doing things properly. Our founders have written books on the best practice for using lean to scale agile in large organisations.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Delivery Manager to take ownership of complex client projects and programmes end-to-end. You’ll be the person clients trust to tell them hard truths, protect scope, and deliver - while the client principal focuses on account growth. This is a high-impact role at the heart of how we deliver, and a key part of how we’re evolving our delivery model as we scale.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Product Scope Management
    • Negotiate product scope to deliver the best value on both fixed-price and time/materials engagements
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and Theodo on trade-offs and compromises
    • Use your own experience and expertise drawn from others to guide client product owner decisions
  • Quality
    • Manage the flow of requirements from client to team
    • Drive the use of visual management tools
    • Oversee a healthy product backlog
  • Delivery Execution
    • Proactively lead client engagements
    • Produce, maintain and communicate on the project delivery plan
    • Own and run agile ceremonies
    • Collaborate with the client principal and client to monitor effort and forecast accurately
    • Solve day-to-day delivery problems before they escalate
    • Ensure delivery operates in line with contract terms
  • Client Satisfaction
    • Think long-term about product direction and suggest optimal delivery approaches
    • Provide high-level analysis and improvement recommendations to senior client stakeholders
    • Own RAID management and proactively manage risk
  • Community & Continuous Improvement
    • Advocate for lean delivery principles across the business
    • Contribute to company-wide continuous improvement initiatives
    • Mentor and coach more junior delivery managers

What We’re Looking For

You’re a delivery professional who knows when to push back and when to flex. You build trust quickly with senior stakeholders, spot risks early, and leave every project in better shape than you found it.

  • Trusted at senior stakeholder level - able to have difficult conversations and maintain the relationship
  • Trusted by on-the-ground delivery teams - able to have detailed conversations about technology and product with the experts on your team
  • Preventative rather than reactive - you identify risk early and act before it becomes a problem
  • Rigorous about delivery metrics and able to use them to justify commercial decisions
  • Genuinely interested in lean delivery principles and willing to keep learning
  • Humble and coachable - you take feedback and bring that same openness to your team
  • A multiplier: you improve delivery maturity on every project you touch, and bring things back to the wider team

Required Skills & Experience

  • Around 2-3 years of delivery management experience on complex digital or technology projects
  • Relevant experience within a technical agency or consultancy
  • Proven track record managing both fixed-price and time/materials engagements
  • Experience managing senior client stakeholders and steering committees
  • Demonstrable examples of scope negotiation and risk management on large or high-stakes projects
  • Experience running agile ceremonies and holding teams to a high standard of delivery
  • Comfortable using delivery data to drive commercial decisions
  • A strong academic background

What We Offer

  • 25 Days annual leave
  • Learning and Development support throughout your career at Theodo
  • Private Health Insurance via Vitality
  • 3 week work from anywhere policy
  • Equipment budget for your tech set up
  • Company pension
  • Monthly Socials
  • A Slack network of 700+ “Theodoers” across our extended ecosystem — ask questions, share patterns, or troubleshoot obscure challenges with some of the sharpest minds out there
  • A hybrid working model, with offices based in London.
