Due to continuing refurbishment and expansion, we are now looking for a passionate, experienced and enthusiastic Sales Manager to grow accommodation revenues at Theobalds Park Hotel and Spa, in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. This Hotel Sales Manager position focuses on securing and developing new business, maximising sales performance and nurturing strong partnerships with key client accounts.
This role will grow the hotel's client network in corporate accounts alongside working with the Events team to secure further meetings, events, corporate and private dining bookings; growing overall revenue of the site.
Theobalds Hotel is a 140 room Mansion House, set across 54 acres in a glorious position just outside Cheshunt. Having taken over the site just over a year ago, we're a moment away from launching the fully refitted and refurbished Health Club, and gradually working our way methodically around the accommodation to update and fit out the phenomenal buildings and grounds.
Our ideal Hotel Sales Manager candidate will have solid experience within the hospitality industry, with a proven sales background, successfully selling products to corporate clients. As the Sales Manager for Theobalds Hotel, you will work closely with both the Hotel's General Manager and centralised Marketing and Commercial Sales Teams.
Required Qualifications:- Thorough understanding of hotel sales and revenue, preferably gained in a previous Sales Manager role
- Commercial Acumen to both understand, identify and secure sales opportunities
- Confidence in meeting clients and closing deals whilst building strong partnerships
- Work closely with the GM and hotel management team and be committed to achieving and delivering high levels of occupancy
- Experience using GDS and hospitality systems
- Proven experience preparing and analysing sales reports, tracking performance and monitoring competitor activity
- Maintain company brand standards, systems and reporting procedures
- Identifies and leads initiatives to secure new business opportunities with awareness of upcoming trends and what our potential guests need
- Builds strong, professional relationships with clients and corporate agencies, ensuring high standards of communication and support
- Conveys enthusiasm to potential clients about our products and all facilities our hotel offers
- Is confident identifying and building relations from cold leads
- Has the ability to work under pressure, to meet and exceed sales targets
Full-time office and field based role. Requires a full driving licence and a car to visit potential clients as part of your role.
