Our client — a successful dealer operation in Sunderland — is looking for an experienced Automotive Panel Beater to join their growing Bodyshop team. Whether you are currently working as a Panel Beater, Body Repair Technician, or a Panel Technician with strong MET skills, this is a solid opportunity to join a professional workshop where quality and efficiency go hand in hand.
Salary: £38,480 basic – OTE £50,000
Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per week

What you’ll be doing (and doing brilliantly):
- Conducting panel repair and replacement on a range of vehicles.
- Dismantling and reassembling vehicles as part of the repair process.
- Following job cards and repair instructions accurately and methodically.
- Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and industry repair standards.
- Identifying and reporting additional damage or repair requirements.
- Diagnosing faults and escalating technical issues where required.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and inspections conducted.
- Working efficiently to support Bodyshop productivity and customer satisfaction.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater within a busy Bodyshop or dealer environment.
- Competent MET skills to required repair standards.
- Ability to work well under pressure with high volumes of work.
- Strong diligence and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- ATA accreditation advantageous but not essential.
