Store Manager in City of London

As Store Manager at Ryman Design, you'll take full ownership of one of our exciting new concept stores, bringing together creativity, design, inspiring products and exceptional customer experiences.

You'll lead from the front, creating a store that customers want to explore and a team that is excited to come to work. From driving commercial performance and developing your people to creating inspiring product displays and shaping how the concept evolves, you'll have a real opportunity to make your mark.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves retail, understands what makes customers tick and has the creativity and commercial instinct to turn great ideas into great results.

What you'll be doing

• Bring Ryman Design to life, championing our brand, products and creative vision across every part of the customer experience.
• Take full ownership of your store, creating a positive, energetic and high-performing team culture.
• Lead by example on the shop floor, delivering a warm, knowledgeable and inspiring customer experience.
• Drive sales, profitability and key business targets through strong commercial leadership and an understanding of your customers and local market.
• Use performance data and commercial insight to identify opportunities, make decisions and continually improve results.
• Recruit, coach and develop a talented team, creating an environment where people feel inspired to grow and reach their potential.
• Set clear expectations, celebrate success and provide regular feedback to help your team perform at their best.
• Create beautiful, inspiring visual merchandising and product displays that reflect the Ryman Design brand and encourage customers to browse, discover and buy.
• Keep the store looking exceptional, ensuring presentation, housekeeping, compliance and operational standards are consistently high.
• Manage rotas, resources and budgets effectively, balancing great customer service with strong commercial performance.
• Keep a close eye on key financial measures, including sales, payroll, stock loss, wastage and profitability.
• Build strong product knowledge across your team, encouraging curiosity and enthusiasm for the products we sell.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints confidently, always looking for opportunities to turn a challenge into a positive experience.
• Champion new technology, ideas and ways of working that can improve the customer experience and make the team more effective.
• Work closely with Retail Support Centre teams and other stores, sharing ideas, insights and best practice.
• Keep your finger on the pulse of design, lifestyle, stationery and retail trends, using what you see to inspire your team and improve the store.
• Help shape the future of Ryman Design by embracing change, testing new ideas and bringing your own creativity to the role.
• Act as a true ambassador for Ryman Design, creating a store that feels distinctive, inspiring and unmistakably ours.
