Overview
As Shift Lead at Müller Droitwich, you will lead and develop a high-performing Process team to deliver safety, quality, service and cost targets.
You’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives and coach colleagues to solve problems and raise performance.
This role fits within a cross-functional operations team focused on operational excellence in a fast-paced food-manufacturing environment.
You’ll lead by example on the shop floor, champion safety culture, and help shape a culture of accountability and growth.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team to meet operational targets
- Create and implement individual development plans for growth and succession
- Coach and mentor frontline colleagues to improve performance
- Manage performance, engagement, attendance and employee relations
- Drive continuous improvement using Operational Excellence principles
- Identify waste reduction, efficiency improvements and process optimisation
- Apply problem-solving tools and PDCA to root causes and sustainable solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business-wide improvements
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and food safety
- Lead by example with a proactive Go, Look, See on the shop floor
- Key requirements
- Leadership experience in Food Manufacturing, FMCG or Production
- Strong people management and coaching capabilities
- Experience managing performance, development and employee relations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
