Theo James Recruitment is supporting an engineering business seeking a programmer who can take responsibility for writing programmes directly at the machine and work independently from the outset. The role * Programme, set and operate CNC vertical machining centres using Siemens ShopMill. * Write programmes at the machine. * Apply your milling experience to work independently within the machine shop. What you’ll bring * Strong CNC milling experience, including full Siemens ShopMill programming. * The ability to programme from scratch, rather than solely set and operate existing programmes. * Confidence working independently with minimal initial training. * A time-served background is preferred, although relevant practical programming experience is the priority. What’s on offer * £17–£18 per hour. * A 39-hour working week. * Overtime paid at time and a half, with up to approximately eight additional hours currently available. * The opportunity to put your existing programming expertise to use in a busy workshop.
