This is an exciting opportunity for a Process Improvement Engineer to join a well-established and rapidly growing manufacturing organisation. The company specialises in delivering bespoke solutions to clients within the yellow goods industry and is continuing to invest heavily in its people, technology, and production capabilities. Due to sustained growth and ongoing investment, they are expanding their engineering team and are looking for a Process Improvement Engineer who can play a key role in driving operational excellence and innovation.

The Process Improvement Engineer will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing process optimisation initiatives across manufacturing operations. The Process Improvement Engineer will lead continuous improvement projects, focusing on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading value stream mapping, process flow analysis, and Kaizen activities.
  • Introducing new equipment and implementing new production lines.
  • Managing large-scale CAPEX projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Driving quality improvement initiatives using structured methodologies.
  • Conducting root cause analysis (e.g. 5 Whys, DMAIC) and implementing corrective actions.
  • Analysing production and quality data to identify performance gaps.
  • Developing SOPs, control plans, and process documentation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The Process Improvement Engineer will also support and mentor junior team members, ensuring best practices are embedded across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Process Improvement Engineer to make a real impact within a forward-thinking organisation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Process Improvement Engineer or Process Engineer, particularly introducing new equipment and new production lines.
  • Strong Six Sigma experience, ideally Green Belt qualified or above.
  • Proven experience managing CAPEX and quality improvement projects.
  • Background in manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Strong knowledge of lean tools (5S, Kanban, SMED) and continuous improvement methodologies.
