Job

Description: As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding truck bodies from pre-cut steel components using detailed engineering drawings.

The successful Fabricator will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Daily duties for the Fabricator will include

  • Fabrication and welding of beavertail truck bodies
  • Cutting, preparing, and assembling steel components
  • MIG welding in down hand, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
  • Using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Ensuring all work is completed to required quality standards
  • Identifying and resolving fabrication issues when required
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards within the work area
  • Following all company health and safety procedures
  • Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and delivery schedules

The Fabricator will be expected to work efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on workmanship, quality, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Fabricator within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Skilled in MIG welding
  • NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding or a recognised apprenticeship
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience fabricating and assembling steel components
  • Good understanding of fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
