Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technician to join Dyer Engineering on an initial 6-month contract, with genuine scope for extension or permanent employment. The successful Quality Technician will be responsible for carrying out incoming, in-process and final inspections, ensuring products meet customer requirements and internal quality standards. Working closely with production and engineering teams, the Quality Technician will help identify quality concerns and support corrective actions.
As a Quality Technician, you will support the management and progression of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), assist with root cause investigations and contribute towards continuous improvement activities across the business. The Quality Technician will also be involved in calibration control, maintaining inspection records, supporting audit activities and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards. This Quality Technician role offers broad exposure across inspection, quality systems, auditing and process improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within quality engineering.
The successful Quality Technician will work directly with the Quality Engineer and wider operational teams, playing a key role in maintaining and improving quality performance throughout Dyer Engineering. Whilst initially offered as a 6-month contract, Dyer Engineering sees this as a long-term requirement and there is genuine potential for the role to continue beyond the initial term.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector or Quality Control professional within manufacturing or engineering
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances
- Experience using inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometres, gauges and ideally CMM equipment
- Experience raising and progressing NCRs
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
