Job Description: We are seeking a motivated UK Indirect Buyer to join our Procurement team. Reporting to the Indirect Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring indirect materials and services in a compliant, cost-effective manner, supporting category strategies and cost reduction initiatives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely supply, accurate SAP records, and minimal invoice queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing procurement activities from sourcing through contract award for assigned indirect categories.
- Supporting the delivery of cost optimisation projects and category strategies.
- Maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring contracts reflect agreed pricing and service levels.
- Preparing reports on market conditions and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
- Assisting with budget preparation, audits, and the administration of SAP contracts and purchase orders.
- Contributing to environmental and sustainability initiatives within the procurement function.
Skills & Experience:
- CIPS or equivalent procurement/purchasing/logistics qualification.
- Educated to A-Level or equivalent.
- Proven experience in indirect procurement or a related buying/materials planning role.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems.
