Job Description:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum uptime across a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
- Fault finding across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnosing issues on PLC, CNC, and electronic control systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics
- Supporting continuous improvement through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to maximise equipment availability
- Supporting site projects and machinery upgrades
- Identifying cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities
- Promoting a strong safety-first culture across the facility
Skills & Experience:
- NVQ Level 3, time-served apprenticeship, or equivalent engineering qualification
- Strong multi-skilled maintenance experience within manufacturing
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding expertise
- PLC, CNC, and automation systems experience
- Ability to read schematics and ladder logic
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable:
- 18th Edition qualification
- Hydraulic and mechanical systems expertise
- ABB robotics experience
- IOSH / NEBOSH or strong safety improvement exposure
- Forklift, MEWP, or driving licence
