Responsibilities
- As a Project Engineer, you\’ll be pivotal in supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and development projects from RFQ to pre-production.
- You\\\’ll manage the planning, coordination, and execution of technical activities across multiple disciplines to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. This includes RFQ processing, cost analysis, feasibility assessments, BOM management, and supporting procurement and validation processes.
- You\\\’ll work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to interpret project needs and deliver engineering solutions that align with customer expectations and business objectives. This is a cross-functional role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and varied engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support development and NPI projects
- RFQ processing, material costings, and feasibility analysis
- Review and prepare cost cards for commercial review
- Support PO, sales order, and contract review processes
- Create and maintain accurate BOMs
- Manage materials and subcontract requisitions
- Define specifications for project equipment and plans
- Liaise directly with clients and senior engineers to refine solutions
- Create project metrics, process flow diagrams, FMEAs, validation plans, and customer-specific PPAP documentation
Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting technical/engineering projects (NPI or development preferred)
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation: BOMs, FMEAs, process flows, PPAP, validation protocols
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and liaise with customers
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to engineering challenges
- Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment (automotive, medical, or related sectors ideal)
