Job Description: The Production Engineer will play a vital role in the optimisation, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes within the business. This position requires working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement. The Production Engineer will be responsible for managing a variety of assembly processes, including CNC routing, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and electrical assembly. Key Responsibilities: * Take ownership of continuous improvement for existing machines and processes. * Select and develop new assembly processes and techniques. * Specify and develop new equipment and tooling. * Define and optimise production procedures to maximise efficiency and reduce costs. * Train staff on new and existing production processes. * Collaborate with design engineers and management to implement innovative manufacturing technologies. * Lead machine and process introduction, including supplier selection, PFMEA, concept design, factory layout, and cycle time optimisation. * Resolve quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. * Generate installation documents, standard operating procedures, and technical literature for new and existing products. Skills & Experience: * Minimum of HNC/HND qualification or equivalent. * At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the automotive or related industry. * Technical background with hands-on experience in designing and setting up production lines. * Proficiency in software tools such as MS Office, 2D/3D CAD (SolidEdge preferred).
