Job Title: Process Engineer Location: Northumberland Salary: Competitive depending on experience Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (early Friday finish) Benefits: * 25 days holiday + 1 special day * Healthcare cash plan * Company share scheme * Cycle to work scheme Job Description: As a Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing and optimising manufacturing processes for high-precision microelectronic products. This varied position offers exposure to the entire product lifecycle—from new product introduction (NPI) to supporting volume production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless process transitions, troubleshoot issues, and drive performance improvements across the shop floor. Key responsibilities include: * Providing day-to-day engineering support to production operations * Troubleshooting and resolving equipment and process-related issues * Commissioning and qualifying new manufacturing equipment * Creating and maintaining technical documentation such as SOPs, PFMEAs, and inspection standards * Supporting the transition of products from NPI to full-scale production * Identifying and implementing opportunities for yield improvement and efficiency gains * Liaising with customers and suppliers, which may include occasional travel abroad * Promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with HSE regulations Skills & Experience: Essential: * Degree/HNC in Engineering or relevant equivalent experience * Previous experience of working with electronic products or PCB manufacturing. * Experience with Lean principles, 8D, and Design of Experiments. * Understanding of lean manufacturing tools and statistical process controls. Desirable: * Familiarity with electronics and mechanical CAD tools. * Experience with chip and wire assembly, hybrid circuits, or high-reliability environments (e.g. MIL standards).
