Job Description

The Materials & Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the Operations Lead and play a critical role in ensuring smooth material flow across the business. This is a hands-on position combining office-based coordination with workshop interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection and goods receipt of incoming materials
  • Managing material traceability and stock location control
  • Booking out finished products
  • Coordinating internal and external transport for deliveries and collections
  • Purchasing and maintaining consumables and packaging stock
  • Raising purchase orders for subcontract operations
  • Monitoring supplier and subcontract delivery dates
  • Managing material certification and compliance documentation
  • Releasing job cards upon receipt of materials
  • Handling, movement and storage of materials

The Materials & Logistics Coordinator will ensure regulatory compliance is maintained at all times while supporting operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience

To be successful as a Materials & Logistics Coordinator, you should have:

  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing, or a stores environment
  • Knowledge of engineering materials
  • ERP system experience (EPICOR desirable)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Forklift licence (preferred)
