Job Description
The Materials & Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the Operations Lead and play a critical role in ensuring smooth material flow across the business. This is a hands-on position combining office-based coordination with workshop interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection and goods receipt of incoming materials
- Managing material traceability and stock location control
- Booking out finished products
- Coordinating internal and external transport for deliveries and collections
- Purchasing and maintaining consumables and packaging stock
- Raising purchase orders for subcontract operations
- Monitoring supplier and subcontract delivery dates
- Managing material certification and compliance documentation
- Releasing job cards upon receipt of materials
- Handling, movement and storage of materials
The Materials & Logistics Coordinator will ensure regulatory compliance is maintained at all times while supporting operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience
To be successful as a Materials & Logistics Coordinator, you should have:
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, or a stores environment
- Knowledge of engineering materials
- ERP system experience (EPICOR desirable)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Forklift licence (preferred)
- A proactive and team-focused approach
