The successful Electrical/Electronic Engineer will support the design, development, integration, and validation of advanced engineering systems and products. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, the Electrical/Electronic Engineer will contribute to both new product development and continuous improvement activities across existing platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and documenting complex electrical and electronic systems and architectures
  • Supporting system integration, testing, validation, and optimisation of prototype tools
  • Preparing technical requirements documentation and managing verification activities
  • Collaborating with mechanical, software, and electrical engineering teams to deliver complete system solutions
  • Supporting interface design including communications, cabling, and component integration
  • Identifying and resolving system design issues to improve product performance and reliability
  • Managing external suppliers and specialist contractors where required
  • Supporting production teams with calibration processes, testing procedures, and technical training
  • Ensuring engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations

Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Previous experience within a Systems Engineer position or similar technical role
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic system architecture
  • Experience with motion control and high‑accuracy motion systems
  • Knowledge of testing, validation, and system integration activities
  • Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with optical systems or PLC systems would be advantageous
