Job Description
As a Toolmaker / Die Maintenance Technician, you will be at the heart of the production operation. Your key responsibilities will include:
- In-press tooling breakdown and die/tool maintenance.
- Preventative die and tool maintenance to maximise production efficiencies.
- Resolving pressing quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Welding β TIG, MIG, and ARC.
- General bench fitting.
- Daily record keeping and following standardised SOPs.
- Root cause analysis and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Tooling commissioning and die modification / engineering change activities.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have
- A relevant apprenticeship in Engineering or Toolmaking.
- ONC, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance or an Engineering discipline.
- Preventative die/tool maintenance experience.
- Experience with presses, machining, and welding.
- An understanding of Lean Practices.
