Job Description: As a Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing function, ensuring materials and subcontract services flow efficiently through the business. Using an ERP/MRP system, you will analyse requirements, raise purchase orders, gather competitive quotations, and maintain accurate documentation. The Buyer will work closely with internal teams to ensure all information is correctly stored and aligned with manufacturing demands. You will manage supplier communication, review purchase requisitions, resolve technical queries, and ensure documentation is supplied correctly. You will also maintain PO dates within the system and communicate changes with key stakeholders. This position is ideal for a detail‑focused Buyer who enjoys improving processes and maintaining high standards of accuracy. You will be expected to challenge existing practices, contribute to continuous improvement, and operate safely in line with company policies. A successful Buyer will demonstrate strong communication, excellent computer literacy, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems in manufacturing or subcontract environments
- IFS experience beneficial
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and communication
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- BPSS clearance required
