Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Hartlepool, County Durham Salary: £45,907 basic + £7,126.59 shift allowance Overtime rates: 1.5x (Mon–Sat) and 2x (Sundays/Bank Holidays) Benefits: * Pension: 4.5% employer / 4.5% employee contributions * Life assurance: 4× basic salary * 20 days annual holiday (rising by 1 day per year to 25 days after 5 years) * Contractual weekend work: 1 in 4 weekends (paid accordingly) * 6-month probation period with reviews at 3 and 6 months * Opportunities for progression within a large international group Working Hours: 3-shift rotation (Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week): * 06:00–14:00 (Mon–Thu) / 06:00–11:30 (Fri) * 14:00–22:00 (Mon–Thu) / 11:30–17:00 (Fri) * 22:00–06:00 (Mon–Thu) / 17:00–22:30 (Fri) Plus 1 weekend in 4: Sat & Sun 06:00–14:00 (13 weekends per year) Job Description: Working within the Engineering Maintenance team, you will ensure that production equipment operates effectively and efficiently. This includes planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding, and supporting installation projects. You will also take responsibility for machine performance during your shift and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
