Supporting the Maintenance Shift Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining equipment, reducing downtime, and ensuring smooth operations in a high-performance manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: * Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems such as pumps and bearings. * Assist in electrical maintenance tasks where possible. * Swiftly address equipment breakdowns and complete planned maintenance. * Maintain strict adherence to health and safety standards. * Identify and resolve mechanical faults while documenting activities and communicating effectively with colleagues. Skills & Experience: To succeed as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you should have: * A qualification at ONC/OND/HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Maintenance/Mechanical Engineering or be a time-served technician. * Relevant experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment. * Strong mechanical fault-finding skills and experience working with bearings, cranes, and conveyors. * The ability to manage tasks efficiently, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team. * Flexibility to work at height and adapt to the demands of the role. Additional Desirable Skills: * Multi-skilled abilities, including electrical maintenance. * Welding, burning, or machining expertise. * Experience with crane maintenance, AutoCAD, and basic MS Office applications.
