Job Description:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining production machinery and site services to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime across the manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs
  • Fault finding and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Supporting continuous improvement and equipment modification projects
  • Completing maintenance records using the CMMS system
  • Assisting with risk assessments and permit-to-work activities
  • Supporting root cause analysis to eliminate repeat failures
  • Ordering and managing engineering spare parts when required
  • Working closely with production to maximise machine availability
  • Ensuring all engineering activities comply with health and safety legislation
  • Contributing to a proactive engineering culture focused on reliability and continuous improvement

Skills & Experience:

To be successful as a Maintenance Technician, you will ideally have:

  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities
  • Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Knowledge of CMMS or planned maintenance systems
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
