Working Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday 37.5 hours Early finish Friday!
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Co-Ordinator to join a busy manufacturing operation in the North East. This role will take responsibility for organising and maintaining all statutory inspections across the site, ensuring full compliance with engineering and facilities-related regulations. You will coordinate service contracts, manage contractors, organise remedial works, and support the upkeep of the wider facility including infrastructure, welfare areas, drainage systems, and grounds maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating statutory inspections including LOLER, gas, water, fire systems, and pressure systems
- Managing external contractors and service providers
- Reviewing and renewing service contracts
- Organising repairs and maintenance across site infrastructure
- Supporting site safety and compliance initiatives
- Managing facilities budgets and forward planning for repairs and capital expenditure
- Liaising with Engineering and Maintenance teams to plan and prioritise work effectively
- Supporting audit readiness and ensuring compliance standards are maintained
Skills & experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within Facilities Management or Facilities Co-ordination
- Strong understanding of statutory inspections and compliance within an industrial environment
- Experience managing contractors and external suppliers
- Budget management experience
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads independently
Desirable:
- Project Management experience
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or problem-solving techniques
