Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Hartlepool Salary: Circa £42,000 – £48,000 PA Benefits: * Competitive holiday package (26 days + 8 bank holidays) * Company pension contributions * Free on-site parking * Overtime at competitive rates * Early finish on Fridays * £300 quarterly attendance bonus * Opportunities for career progression Working Hours: 2 Shift Pattern Job Description: As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of all factory equipment. Your responsibilities will focus on electrical fault finding, planned and reactive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll also be responsible for recording downtime and key performance indicators (KPIs) in company systems, so attention to detail and data accuracy is vital. Main Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer: * Commission and install new electrical systems and equipment across the factory. * Carry out routine preventative and planned maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of machinery. * Respond quickly to and resolve electrical breakdowns, implementing solutions to minimise downtime. * Accurately complete all maintenance records and documentation. * Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives. * Build effective relationships with internal teams and liaise with external contractors when required. * Work safely, adhering to company and statutory health & safety guidelines. Skills & Experience Required: * Relevant electrical maintenance qualification (HNC/HND/ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent). * Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or heavy industry environment. * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, with expertise in fault finding and troubleshooting. * Experience working with PLCs, control panels, and automated systems is highly advantageous. * Skilled in carrying out both reactive maintenance and implementing structured PM schedules. * Good understanding of data collection for downtime and performance monitoring. * Exposure to continuous improvement projects is desirable.
