Job Description:

As Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a key role in introducing new products, improving manufacturing processes and supporting production from concept through to manufacture. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Managing New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Reviewing customer drawings and manufacturing requirements
  • Improving manufacturing processes and efficiencies
  • Reviewing manufacturing route cards
  • Supporting tooling, jigs and fixture requirements
  • Supporting APQP, PPAP and PFMEA activities
  • Solving production and manufacturing issues
  • Working closely with production, customers and suppliers
  • Driving continuous improvement projects

This Manufacturing Engineer position offers genuine autonomy, technical variety and the opportunity to influence manufacturing decisions from day one.

Skills & Experience:

To be successful as a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll ideally have:

  • Previous Manufacturing Engineer, Project Engineer or Design Engineer experience
  • Strong sheet metal and fabrication knowledge
  • Experience within welding or fabricated products
  • Exposure to APQP, PPAP and PFMEA
  • Experience introducing new products into manufacture
  • CAD experience (Inventor or similar preferred)
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • A practical, hands-on engineering mindset
