Job Description: The successful Electrical/Electronic Engineer will support the design, development, integration, and validation of advanced engineering systems and products. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, the Electrical/Electronic Engineer will contribute to both new product development and continuous improvement activities across existing platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and documenting complex electrical and electronic systems and architectures
- Supporting system integration, testing, validation, and optimisation of prototype tools
- Preparing technical requirements documentation and managing verification activities
- Collaborating with mechanical, software, and electrical engineering teams to deliver complete system solutions
- Supporting interface design including communications, cabling, and component integration
- Identifying and resolving system design issues to improve product performance and reliability
- Managing external suppliers and specialist contractors where required
- Supporting production teams with calibration processes, testing procedures, and technical training
- Ensuring engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations

Skills & Experience:

- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic system architecture.
- Experience with motion control and high-accuracy motion systems.
- Knowledge of testing, validation, and system integration activities.
- Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with optical systems or PLC systems would be advantageous.
