An established international manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team at a highly automated production facility. Continental shift pattern: 6:30am-6:30pm / 6:30pm-6:30am (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off rotation)
Job Description:
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of production machinery across a busy manufacturing site. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose electrical faults, support continuous improvement activities and assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment. The role involves fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery, working with AC/DC drives, electrical control systems and industrial networks, while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. The successful Electrical Engineer will work closely with production and engineering teams to maximise machine uptime and improve overall equipment performance.
Skills & Experience:
- Time-served Electrical Engineer with a recognised apprenticeship.
- Experience within manufacturing, production or another large-scale industrial environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with Siemens PLCs for fault diagnosis.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial drives, electrical control systems and preventative maintenance.
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
