As a Manufacturing Engineer you willsupport the definition and industrialisation of new product introduction manufacturing process and provide support to production and engineering., · Provide design for manufacture support during design and development.
· Support process development and process implementation.
· Write up specifications for new equipment, tender for and install new equipment, including training personnel.
· Support engineering change activities.
· Set up CNC centres and saws for new products; understand the concept of using different materials; tooling for specific situations etc.
· Trouble shooting CNC operations using RCA and incorporating a robust solution.
· Set up new production lines: using existing and new equipment ensuring it
complies with the project and production’s expectations.
· Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance using CI techniques.
· Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, HND, HNC or similar.
· Time Served CNC Machinist or exposure to machining.
· Experience of troubleshooting and programming machines.
· CAD/CAM experience or basic knowledge with training supplied.
· Ability to read engineering drawings and create modelling.
· Lean manufacturing or improvement experience.
