Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer to join a thriving operations team. The Buyer will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, sourcing materials, components, and services to support manufacturing operations. You’ll play a key role in driving cost efficiency, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and ensuring timely, quality-focused delivery.
As the Buyer, you\’ll support the Purchasing Manager in developing procurement strategies, conducting market research, and analysing supplier performance. You’ll also collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure procurement aligns with production and inventory requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Developing and managing supplier relationships

Negotiating contracts and ensuring best value

Implementing procurement strategies aligned with business goals
*
Monitoring and managing inventory levels
*
Ensuring quality and compliance of purchased materials
*
Analysing data and generating procurement reports
*
Mitigating risks within the supply chain

Skills & Experience:
Essential:
*
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Buyer role
*
CIPS Level 4 or equivalent
*
Strong negotiation, organisational and communication skills
*
Analytical thinker with excellent decision-making ability
*
Proficient in ERP/procurement software
*
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
*
Experience within manufacturing environments
*
Degree in a relevant subject
*
Knowledge of ethical sourcing and manufacturing components
*
Understanding of supply chain risk and compliance
