Overview
Job Title: Account Manager
Location: North East England (with travel as required)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Benefits: Bonus scheme, pension contribution, training and development opportunities, and travel allowances
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for travel to customer sites and occasional international visits.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business and identify profitable opportunities for products, services, and projects.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer accounts, managing communications at all levels.
- Analyse customer requirements and support RFQ processes from initial contact through to project delivery.
- Negotiate proposals, ensuring commercially successful outcomes.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, escalate issues where necessary, and provide technical support.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and documentation.
- Work closely with technical and commercial teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
Skills & Experience
- A degree in Engineering or related field (preferred but not essential).
- At least 3 years\’ experience in technical sales support, ideally in the automotive sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of emission control technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and manage customer expectations.
- Willingness to travel to support customer engagements and business development.
