Registered Care Manager – Domiciliary Care
Attractive Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 + performance-related bonus
If you’re an experienced Registered Manager who enjoys the business side of care as well as the operational side, this could be a really interesting opportunity. This is an established, well-resourced domiciliary care provider that has been supporting people in their own homes for more than 15 years. They have a strong reputation locally, excellent staff retention and an experienced team already in place, so you won’t be walking into a service that needs fixing. Instead, there’s an opportunity to build on something that already works well.
The business operates exclusively within the private-pay market and is looking for a Registered Manager who can take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, maintain its strong standards and CQC compliance, and play an active part in its next stage of growth. That could mean increasing the number of people they support, developing more complex care packages, strengthening their presence within the local community and ultimately helping more people to remain living independently at home.
The Role
- Meeting prospective clients and their families, assessing their needs and putting appropriate care packages in place.
- Supporting and developing the existing team, ensuring staff have the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver excellent care.
- Supporting the business with the marketing of its services and increasing its visibility within the local community.
- Building relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals to strengthen the service’s local reputation.
- Developing the service’s capacity to take on more complex care packages, helping people to remain at home for longer.
- Identifying opportunities for sustainable growth while ensuring quality remains at the heart of everything the service does.
The Successful Candidate
We’re looking for someone with significant experience managing a domiciliary care service, ideally as a Registered Manager or Operations Manager. You’ll have:
- Experience of working within a CQC-regulated environment and a good understanding of the responsibilities that come with managing a regulated service.
- A commercially minded approach, with the confidence to promote a service, build its presence locally and identify opportunities for growth.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop trusted relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals.
- The leadership skills to motivate, empower and develop a team, while maintaining high expectations around quality and care.
Interested? If you’re looking for a Registered Manager role where you can take ownership of an established service, protect the quality it has already built and have a genuine influence on its future growth, we’d love to hear from you. Click Apply to send your CV to Laura at Thendon Resourcing, and we’ll be in touch within 1–2 business days to discuss the opportunity further.
