About Palette Prototype
Palette Prototype is an independent knitwear brand based in London, founded in 2025 by a Central Saint Martins – trained designer. We explore colour, tactility, and unisex silhouettes through seasonless knitwear drops with a distinctive point of view.

About the Role
Palette Prototype is looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media & Content Manager to lead our presence on Instagram and TikTok. This is not a scheduler role. We are seeking someone who can plan, create, film, edit, and publish short-form content that captures the essence of our knitwear brand.
You will collaborate closely with the internal team to shape brand storytelling, translate trends into relevant content, and convert visual creativity into real growth and engagement.This role requires someone who can move between hands-on content creation and strategic performance tracking , with a deep understanding of fashion culture and digital behaviour.
This position starts as part-time, with a view to becoming full-time based on performance and brand development. If converted to full-time, a three-month probation period will apply.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Strategy
- Plan, film, and edit original short-form video content (Reels and TikTok)
- Be regularly on-camera as a brand voice, while also directing others as needed
- Identify early platform trends and adapt them to suit the brand’s tone
- Build and manage a content calendar tied to seasonal drops and campaigns
- Create written copy for captions and posts in line with brand voice
Community Growth & Channel Management
- Manage and grow the brand’s Instagram and TikTok channels
- Build a strong, authentic community through consistent engagement
- Collaborate with PR, design, and marketing teams to align content with broader campaigns
- Source and direct external collaborators such as micro-influencers or stylists
- Lead small shoots and behind-the-scenes content production where necessary
Performance & Optimisation
- Use Meta Business Suite to schedule posts and monitor performance
- Track KPIs such as engagement, reach, saves, and conversions using UTM parameters and platform tools
- Adjust content strategy based on performance analytics
- Support basic paid promotion through Meta Ads Manager (boosting and targeting)
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing social content for fashion, lifestyle, or design-led DTC brands
- Demonstrated success in growing audience and engagement through short-form video
- Confident being on-camera and leading small shoots (self-shot or with collaborators)
- Proficient in editing and visual storytelling using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, etc.
- Deep understanding of platform algorithms, native tools, and social trends
- Skilled in Meta Ads Manager for content boosting and performance testing
- Experience running content calendars and coordinating campaign timelines
- Excellent copywriting and caption writing in a brand-relevant tone
- Highly self-motivated, deadline-oriented, and organised
- London-based, with the ability to film in or around the city
- Strong personal network of collaborators (e.g. micro-influencers, stylists, videographers), essential for sourcing participants for shoots or partnerships
What We Offer
Part-Time / Freelance Compensation
- Performance-based rate starting from £120 per short-form video , depending on experience, complexity, and creative quality.
- Expected weekly output: 2-3 videos adapted for both Instagram Reels and TikTok (same content resized/reformatted).
- Higher rates may apply if the content involves additional elements such as talent sourcing (e.g. featuring micro-influencers), styled shoots, or expanded creative direction.
- Candidates with strong content performance metrics and a demonstrated ability to produce engaging, high-conversion social media videos are especially encouraged to apply.
- We are open to negotiating a monthly retainer for candidates who deliver consistently.
Full-Time
Annual salary ranges from £27,000 to £32,000 , depending on experience and creative capabilities.
- 28 days paid annual leave (inclusive of UK public holidays)
