The PR Manager at Lyst is responsible for proactively developing and executing our consumer and industry PR strategy, to enhance awareness and understanding of our fashion shopping platform. This role requires a forward-thinking, dynamic communicator, deeply plugged into fashion and cultural movements who excels at translating Lyst’s data into compelling stories. You’ll create online buzz for our brand, build out a fashion intelligence community, orchestrate impactful collaborations and events, and maximise earned media coverage while ensuring alignment with the broader marketing team – to create a cohesive brand message across all channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an always-on PR strategy for Lyst, proactively identifying and creating opportunities to leverage Lyst’s unique position at the intersection of fashion, technology and shopping.
- Seek out and secure high impact media placements, speaking engagements and brand building opportunities.
- Create compelling, shareable data-driven content to earn media coverage and generate online buzz, positioning Lyst as an essential fashion authority and key shopping resource for customers.
- Lead PR for the Lyst Index, maximising its visibility and cementing its position as the definitive quarterly fashion ranking.
- Conceptualise and implement innovative community-building strategies that foster meaningful connections between Lyst and the fashion intelligence community.
- Work with external agencies and content creators directly, to bring Lyst’s position in the fashion industry to life through influencer campaigns.
- Create and oversee brand events that generate organic shares and word-of-mouth, elevating Lyst’s presence within strategic circles.
- Cultivate and nurture a powerful network of fashion media, creators, brands and cultural tastemakers, attending industry events as a Lyst brand ambassador to maintain visibility and strengthen relationships.
- Participate in cross-functional planning to align PR activities with broader marketing campaigns and business objectives, working seamlessly with paid media, social, and partnerships teams to ensure consistent messaging and campaign amplification.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on earned media coverage and PR campaign effectiveness across all channels, developing a reporting framework that demonstrates PR’s contribution to overall marketing goals.
Requirements:
- Proactive, self-motivated approach to identifying and creating PR opportunities.
- An original thinker who challenges conventional approaches to fashion communications but understands the nuances of our space.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Existing network of contacts in online fashion media.
- Proven success in community building, influencer campaign management, and content marketing.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to react quickly to new opportunities and meet tight deadlines.
- Deep understanding of the online media space – identify new voices, know how and where to reach them, and the value of their content and audiences.
- Collaborative spirit that thrives in cross-functional environments - experience collaborating with paid media and marketing teams preferred.
