The Opportunity:
Themis Recruit are seeking an experienced Senior/Managing Associate to join our highly regarded Real Estate practice in London. You will be involved in a broad range of transactional real estate work, including investment, development, acquisitions, disposals, real estate finance, and restructuring. This role offers the chance to work on high-value, complex transactions for some of the biggest names in the industry, including British Land, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and TFL.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a broad range of real estate transactions, including investment, development, acquisitions, and disposals.
Manage client relationships, acting as a direct point of contact, anticipating client needs, and providing timely updates.
Assist with managing and delegating work to junior colleagues, providing feedback, and supporting their development.
Contribute to business development activities, raise the firm’s profile by attending industry events, and support marketing initiatives.
Ensure effective billing and progress tracking, working in line with firm policies and risk requirements.
Uphold the firm’s values, contribute to diversity and inclusion activities, and participate in internal training and legal precedents development.
Requirements
- Excellent academic background.
- Significant post-qualification experience in transactional real estate (ideally Senior/Managing Associate level).
- Extensive experience in real estate development, investment, acquisitions, and disposals.
- Admitted to practice in England & Wales or equivalent transactional experience within the jurisdiction.
- Strong legal skills, including drafting, negotiation, and project management.
- Foundation-level people management and business development skills.
- Good understanding of law firm profitability and financial efficiency, with the ability to manage costs and budgets.
