The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving various aspects of social housing law, providing expert legal advice and representation to registered social landlords, housing associations, and tenants. This role requires a deep understanding of housing law, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to social justice. The successful candidate will need to assist members of the Social Housing Team in managing a caseload that includes defending disrepair claims brought against our clients, handling county court possession claims, and preparing injunction applications, particularly in cases involving tenant anti-social behaviour. Requirements Any experience working with Housing Associations or Local Authority’s welcome but not essential; Excellent computer/technical skills Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to use discretion Positive and enthusiastic approach to team work A flexible, highly motivated, proactive and ‘can do’ working style Self-motivated, ability to use initiative and provide pro-active support to the Social Housing team Ability to pay attention to detail and check own work Good organisational skills, able to prioritise, make decisions and work effectively within a sometimes pressurised environment Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
