Their Housing department has over 30 years of experience, consistently delivering exceptional legal services to social housing providers and private landlords.

Role Overview: Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking a dynamic and experienced housing litigator to join their esteemed team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with a passion for housing litigation and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of housing litigation matters, including but not limited to defending disrepair claims, possession, civil injunctions, defending EPA claims, ASB, and fraud.
  • Utilise strong expertise in landlord and tenant matters, AST, and/or leasehold matters, with a focus on forfeiture claims.
  • Deliver exceptional client care and maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Actively participate in marketing and networking initiatives to promote the firm's services.
  • Maintain monthly time recording and billing targets, ensuring consistent performance.
  • Supervise and manage support services, including secretarial and junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
  • Proven experience in a housing management legal department within a solicitor’s firm or in-house.
  • Track record of successfully managing a busy caseload of housing litigation matters.
  • Familiarity with case management systems and legal procedures.
  • Strong client care skills and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and work effectively under pressure.
  • Participation in marketing and networking activities is highly desirable.
